SwiGO and SwiGO Smart FAQs:

SwiGO/SwiGO Smart

  1. Why do I need SwiGO or SwiGO Smart?
  2. If you have applications where you switch on, but forget to switch off after a desired time, like Water Pumps, Water Heaters (Geysers), Compound Lightings, Hoarding lightings etc, then you need SwiGO/SwiGO Smart. You can switch on and go about your work; you do not need to switch off; SwiGO/SwiGO Smart will switch off after the selected time elapses.

  3. What is the maximum current up to which SwiGO can be used?
  4. 16A Full Load Current (hereinafter FLC) (Running current at 230V AC)

  5. Can it be used with a Sump motor up to 2 HP?
  6. Yes. Please make sure the FLC is not exceeding 16A

  7. Can it be used with Jet motor pump (with two pipes, one for Air and another for Water)
  8. Yes. Again please make sure the FLC is not exceeding 16A

  9. Can it be used with Submersible pumps?
  10. Yes. Connect the SwiGO/SwiGO Smart at the input power supply. See the connection diagram given in the leaflet inside the package. Again ensure that Pump is not more than 2 HP or FLC is not exceeding 16A

  11. What if Current exceeds 16A or pump is of more than 2 HP or 3 phase of any HP?
  12. In that case SwiGO cannot be connected directly at the input as it cannot take more current than 16A. If the motor has a starter with a Contactor, like submersible or 3 Phase DOL, then connect to the Contactor’s coil circuit. Please refer the diagram in the leaflet or please contact us through info@eviqtech.com for an immediate answer

  13. Can we connect 2 pumps to one SwiGO?
  14. No. Only one load or pump can be connected to one SwiGO/SwiGO Smart

  15. Can we connect to a set of Tube lights, Compound lights which are in a single circuit or at present switched by one switch?
  16. Yes. You can connect several tube lights which are on a single circuit or set of compound lights. But make sure the total load does not exceed 16A

  17. Water Heaters/Geysers already have a Thermostat to cut-off power then why do we need a SwiGO or SwiGO Smart?
  18. Thermostat cuts off power after set temperature is reached and not after when we do not require- like after everyone goes out of Home; If the Geysers are kept on always it heats up every few minutes depending upon the temperature setting, climate, length of water column from Geysers to shower/pipe etc. So in summary Heaters keep switching on every -say 30 min- and cut off. This way geysers waste electricity and also heating elements life becomes very short. If SwiGO is used it switches off -say after 30 min- which is good enough time requiring hot water; with SwiGO one cannot switch on permanently!

  19. Can SwiGO/SwiGO Smart withstand High Voltages?
  20. Yes. Now they are made to withstand up to 440V AC for several hours. But it will not switch or cut-off output beyond 290V AC

SwiGO Smart

  1. In what way is SwiGO Smart different from SwiGO?
  2. SwiGO Smart is an IoT device (Internet Connected device). Hence you can have complete scheduling of On, Off, days to Run, Days Not to Run programs; you need not go near your appliance. SwiGO Smart also has a module to measure Energy real time so that you can keep a track of kWh consumed daily, weekly, monthly

  3. What are the Protection features available on SwiGO Smart?
  4. You can protect your motor from damages of Dry-run (when the pump finds no water in the sump), Overload (Motor coil weakening, heating up, shaft seizure), Over-Voltage, Under-Voltage. Please note that a good working wifi connection is a must for all these Protection features to work

  5. How does SwiGO Smart give these Protection features without any external sensors?
  6. SwiGO Smart measures Current, Voltage and Power; hence you can detect situations when there is very less current (=Dry Run), high current (=Overload)

  7. What app do I need to use to connect with SwiGO Smart?
  8. Smart Life; download for Android [link_for_android_app]. For IOS [link_for_ios_app]

  9. How do I pair the SwiGO Smart with Smart Life app?
  10. Connect your mobile to the 2.4GHz wifi Channel and make sure you have good signal strength at the place where you want to install SwiGO Smart. After signing in Smart Life App, keeping Bluetooth and Location permission ON, you can press simultaneously Green and Yellow buttons on SwiGO Smart for 10 or so seconds until the Blue LED below the RED buttons starts blinking; then on the app, click add device and follow the procedure. For further info see [link_for_pairing_instructions]

  11. Is SwiGO Smart alone sufficient to fully automate a Submersible pump?
  12. If your Submersible pump’s starter has only one capacitor and being switched by flipping an MCB, then SwiGO Smart alone is sufficient. But if your Submersible Pump has a starter with two or three capacitors, then you need our Self-Starter along with SwiGO Smart to automate the pushing/leaving of the Green Start button. SwiGO Smart and Self-Starter completely automates Submersible pumps without needing to go near the Starter to operate! Since Submersible pumps have their capacitors outside the motor and inside a Starter panel, a Starter panel cannot be avoided

  13. Can I detect tank-full with SwiGO/SwiGO Smart
  14. Yes. SwiGO/SwiGO Smart has a new feature now, to give a very safe 5V DC output to connect to a Float Switch (You need to buy yourselves, not included). Please use “NO” connection of the Float Switch. Please refer Float-Switch manufacturer’s instruction on how to set up for Tank-full detection

  15. I have an electrician who cannot fully understand the connection diagram for installing SwiGO, SwiGO Smart, Self-Starter with my Submersible Starter. What can I do?
  16. Please send us a very clear photo of your Starter’s front view, Door’s rear view, Box front view showing all the features, labels, wiring diagrams, markings legibly. Then we will send you a specific diagram marked
